UGH! It was jus a simple appointment, a quick meet and greet over coffee.
I was already traveling through the airport when I got the confirmation and the location, I made a note in my iPhone and even set a reminder in the calendar.
While I made the appointment on time, the problem was that there were multiple locations and I didn’t realize my location error until it was too late.
I jumped in a taxi to correct my error, but alas, the window of opportunity was closed and my meeting was postponed.
So now I’ve been kicking my own ass for about 24 hours and I’m outright frustrated. I know better, and I know that I should have double checked my plans.
I take full responsibility for the navigation error. Sure I was in an unfamiliar city and a different time zone, all excuses. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and I missed it.
So, the lesson I’m learning right now by writing this is, relax. Take it easy. Yes, it was a mistake. Yes, I had the name of the location and cross streets to reference and not an actual address. I’m human and imperfect.
It doesn’t help that I am busting myself, it doesn’t feel good, it doesn’t belay my frustration or feelings of stupidity. It is what it is.
I’m sitting in the correct location writing this post in hopes of helping myself realign with the universe.
